What this site does with your information
Short version: this site sets no cookies and does not track you. Apart from an anonymous count of visits, it only keeps what you type into a form, and only so the band can reply to you or send you news.
Who we are
This website is run by The CJP Band. For anything on this page, including asking us to delete your information, write to info@thecjpband.com.
What is collected
- Mailing list. The email address you type in, so we can send band news — a new record, a tour date, the album.
- Launch show list. The same thing: your email address, so we can tell you first when the launch show is announced.
- Booking enquiries. Your name, email, what kind of event you are booking for, when and where, and anything you write in the notes box. This is so the band can reply and quote.
That is the whole list. There is nothing else — no IP logging by us, no advertising pixels, no profiles.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising trackers or tracking analytics. That is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
Three things are worth knowing:
- An anonymous visit count. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not build a profile of you, so we cannot tell who you are or follow you to other sites. Your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare to do this.
- The players and videos load only when you press play. The record players come from Bandcamp and the videos from YouTube, and neither is fetched until you click. At that point Bandcamp or YouTube may set their own cookies and see your IP address, under their privacy policies rather than ours.
- Outbound links carry a campaign tag. When you click through to a shop, a ticket seller or Bandcamp, the link includes utm_source=thecjpband.com so the band and the seller can see the visit came from this site. It is a note in the web address, not a cookie, and it does not identify you.
Where it is kept
Forms on this site are handled by Netlify, which stores the submission and emails it to the band's inbox. Our email is provided by Proton (Proton Mail). Both are established providers with their own security and privacy terms.
How long it is kept
Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Booking enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and afterwards only as long as needed for the band's records.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. To ask for anything else, write to info@thecjpband.com and we will action it.
Changes
If this notice changes — for example if the site gains a shop or analytics — this page will be updated and the date below will move.
